Support for families can sometimes be hard to find.  Here are some useful links with information on how they may be able to support families at home.

Lincolnshire Parent Carer Forum LPCF provide an experienced, supportive ear for parents, to promote their skills, knowledge and resilience. Free LPCF membership gives parents access to: Facebook page for parents only, with information and peer support. Regular, evidence based reports of parents views and feedback. Regular 'Time2Talk' meetings or coffee meetings. Signposting for parents of children with SEND to services and professionals. Signposting events for parents and professionals, including the “Week of SEND”. Workshops on specific issues for parents, requested by members. Wellbeing support and resilience building. Additional one-off benefits, including Max Cards (subject to eligibility criteria)

Children With Disabilities Team Children With Disabilities Social Work Team Lincolnshire County Council’s Children with Disabilities Team are part of the Special Education Need and Disability Service. The social work team provides a statutory service for children and young people with a severe and profound disability. Services may be available to those that are eligible after being subject of a social care assessment. Liaise Liaise is Lincolnshire's Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS). We provide confidential and impartial information, advice and support to children and young people (0-25 years) with SEN and disabilities, and their parents and carers.

Children's Therapy Service Each child is unique and individual, and will develop skills at different rates. If your child is having difficulty developing certain skills they may benefit from specialist assessment, support and advice from our service. The team are made up of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and therapy assistants. They provide specialist therapy services for children and young people, between the ages of 0 -19, to support them to achieve their potential, working all across the county of Lincolnshire in a variety of locations.

PAACT PAACT is a Lincolnshire based support group, run by parents of Autistic children which provides support for families with children and young adults who have an Autistic Spectrum Condition, associated condition or are in the process of a diagnosis. They aim to help family and friends to access advice, support and activities within the local area, holding regular support meetings in both Lincoln and Gainsborough, a drop-in service at our Lincoln office and frequent training in conjunction with Andrew Whitehouse to support both parents and professionals to support people on the autistic spectrum effectively. During the school holidays, there is a wide variety of activities organised by the PAACT committee, from exclusive use of soft play facilities to exotic animals and trains at North Scarle playing field. They also have a term-time youth club for young people aged 11 and above, plus a monthly games club and exclusive swimming. 

Working Together Team The Working Together Team is a National Autistic Society Advanced Status Accredited Service. They advocate best practice and provide specialist support to empower mainstream settings to ensure autistic children & young people thrive through collaborative working with families and professionals.

ADHD Lincs ADHD Lincs is a registered charity which provides support and information to families and individuals who are living with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and associated learning differences. They are committed to raising awareness of ADHD and to enable people with ADHD to realise their full potentia.

Autism East Midlands We provide a wide range of care, support and educational services to meet the needs of autistic individuals of all ages, and their families and carers. They hold drop in support sessions at Gainsborough Adventure Playground, usually on the 1st Saturday of the month.

SHINE Shine Lincolnshire will work to create, connect, and deliver services that are accessible to all. Supporting personal choice; and offering opportunities that promote positive heath & wellbeing

Development Coordination Difficulties Useful information and resources to support people with poor motor control.

Dyslexia Outreach Offer workshops and drop-in sessions for parents and carers and helpline advice to students, parents or carers regarding dyslexia, dyscalculia and other cognition and learning difficulties.

Linkage Linkage is a Lincolnshire based registered charity that supports people with learning disabilities. We deliver high-quality specialist education, care, employment and support services throughout the county and beyond. We were established in 1976 and owe our origins to the recognition that, for many people with varying degrees of learning difficulty, there is a shortage of appropriate support for them to lead creative and purposeful lives in the community. Everything we do is about valuing and supporting individuals, their carers and families to ensure they can achieve their aspirations.
