PSHE

Subject Lead: Sarah Scott
Link Governor: TBC

We learn about PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) and RSE (Relationships and Sex Education) by planning opportunities to learn about, explore and discuss a broad range of topics under the themes of 'Family & Relationships' 'Health & Wellbeing' 'Safety & the Changing Body' 'Citizenship' 'Economic Wellbeing' and 'Identity'.

It is our intention to enable our children to independently make informed choices about how to live safe, happy and healthy lives showing tolerance, respect and kindness towards others. It is also vitally important to have the confidence to live in the wider world as responsible citizens, respecting all cultural, moral and social differences.

Our curriculum builds on prior knowledge in a spiral approach across year groups and links with real life experiences.

As well as being embedded into our values, ethos and curriculum, SMSC and British Values are incorporated into our weekly assembly themes. We are also the recipients of a Bronze Level Relationship Award from Behavioural Outreach Support Service.
